With ballot packs set to arrive in the coming days, we’re asking you to consider what your vote could mean for the Merri Creek and tributaries. Local councils are important collaborators in the restoration and protection of our creeks, lakes and wetlands: Councillors, who champion nature, have been crucial to the successes we’ve seen so far.

To help you make an informed decision, we asked all the candidates in councils along the creek how they plan to contribute to healthy waterways if elected. Candidate responses to the survey and a score of their alignment with our vision for the Merri Creek are now available on our website. The Friends do not endorse, or oppose, any individual candidates or parties. Candidate scores represent their survey responses only.
