FoMC: Friends of East Coburg - Planting

Join us at Tate Reserve (our usual spot) and bring water, closed shoes, hat, and your own gloves and trowel if you have it. We will supply tea and biccies afterwards.

We will continue our work planting new mid- and ground-storey habitat for small insectivorous birds, such as pardalotes which are under threat at Tate and Egan Reserve due to lack of suitable protected habitat and competition from aggressive birds such as Indian Mynas. Increased populations of insectivorous birds will help contain the psyllids (lerps) which are heavily impacting tree health within Tate Reserve and along Merri Creek. More info here.
