FoMC Merri BirdWatch Survey #3 (cont.) and Book Launch

Date & Time
14 September 2025 08:45 AM - 10:30 AM
Timezone
(UTC+10:00) AEST

Bird surveys will be held from 8.45-10.30am at three sites along Merri Creek as listed below.

After the surveys today, join us for morning tea at 11 am and plant some bird-friendly shrubs to celebrate the launch of Jonathan Tickner’s beautifully illustrated, concise guide to local birding locations and birds, Birding Along the Merri. Look for the Friends of Merri Creek banner by the Merri Trail, near the end of Fyffe Street, Thornbury - see Google Map

Jonathan is generously donating the proceeds of sales of his book to FoMC. Copies will be available ($15) at the launch, or from the FoMC Online Shop.

Beginners welcome. BYO binoculars if possible, but no dogs please, as they reduce the number and variety of birds to be seen. The contact for all Birdwatch events is Ann McGregor 0429 386 102.
Free leaflets on Merri birds (normally $3) are available for all participants.
Please don't attend if you are feeling unwell and have any cold or flu-like symptoms.
