Merri Creek Wednesday Volunteers

Where to meet at 9:50 am:

We will meet at the parkland entrance on Lorne St.  The closest street address is 13 Lorne St, Fawkner VIC 3060.

Site information and activities:

We will be planting indigenous trees and shrubs to help restore escarpment shrubland vegetation to this section of Merri Creek. We will also be installing tree guards. This activity was funded by the Australian Government’s Urban Rivers and Catchments Program.

Please bring water, sunscreen and a hat. It's important that you wear suitable protective clothing: long sleeves, long pants and enclosed shoes. We also encourage you to bring insecticide and familiarise yourself with preventative measures for the Buruli Ulcer.

We will finish work around 12 midday.

MCMC will supply clean hand tools and gloves; however, you are welcome to bring your own.

Please don't attend if you are feeling unwell, or have cold or flu-like symptoms.

Any children (under 18) attending must at all times be in the company of, and under the direct supervision of, their parent or guardian.
